MILWAUKEE, WI -- Darren Haydar scored twice and added an assist leading the Milwaukee Admirals to a 6-3 win over the Barons on Friday night. Tomas Plihal registered one goal and one assist in the losing effort for Cleveland.

The Admirals drew first blood with a goal from Darren Haydar at the 6:17 mark. Haydar, the Admirals leading scorer, tallied his 23rd on a deflection from a Rick Berry wrist shot at the point. The Barons extended their lead on another score from Haydar, his 24th coming on the power play with assists from Simon Gamache and Greg Classen with only seven seconds remaining in the first frame. The teams combined for 30 minutes in penalties but only four combined power play chances.

Milwaukee struck first in the middle period advancing their lead to 3-0 on Chris Durno's 15th goal of the year. The Barons answered with a rebound tally from their leading scorer, Josh Hennessy, his 21st of the season on assists from Mike Iggulden and Patrick Rissmiller. The second period comeback came up short for the Barons as Milwaukee answered with another goal at the 14:22 mark. Simon Gamache wrested the puck over the left shoulder of Dimitri Patzold for his 11th of the year.

The teams combined for four goals in the first 4:26 of the third period, but Cleveland couldn't trim the Milwaukee lead falling at the Bradley Center, 6-3. Paul Brown's first of the year for Milwaukee began the barrage just 48-seconds into the final frame. The Barons would answer with back-to-back tallies. Shane Joseph completed a great pass play from Lukas Kaspar for a power play goal at the 2:29 mark. Eighty-one seconds later the Barons would strike again as Tomas Plihal scored on a short-handed breakaway to trim the Admirals lead to 5-3. However, on that same power play chance, Milwaukee would score to take a 6-3 lead and complete the night's scoring.

The teams were even in shots-on-goal at 27 apiece. Dimitri Patzold suffered the loss for Cleveland with 21-saves. Milwaukee's Pekka Rinne, earned his 25th win of the year with a 24-save effort.

Tomorrow night the Barons four-game road trip continues with the final visit of the season to Omaha for an 8pm EST matchup with the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. The game will be broadcast live throughout the globe at www.clevelandbarons.net.

The Barons do not return to home ice until Thursday, March 23rd when they battle the AHL's top team, the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7pm. Tickets for that night's action are available for as little as $9 per ticket at the Quicken Loans Arena Box Office. Following the game on the 23rd the Barons will kick-start the month of April with a five-game home stand to close out the regular season with a back-to-back weekend series against the Iowa Stars on the 1st and 2nd.
