CEDAR PARK, TX - Roope Hintz scored twice and Landon Bow made 21 saves to guide the Texas Stars (15-10-3) to a 5-2 victory over the San Antonio Rampage (12-16-1) on Friday night at the HEB Center at Cedar Park, snapping San Antonio's three-game winning streak.

Jordan Kyrou notched an assist to extend his points streak to seven games, the longest for a Rampage player this season. Conner Bleackley scored his first goal of the season for the Rampage.

San Antonio led twice in the opening period. Sammy Blais opened the scoring at 4:12 of the first period with a power play wrist shot over Bow's shoulder from the top of the right circle for his third goal of the season to make it 1-0. The Stars answered 3:02 later on a 5-on-3 power play when Joel L'Esperance finished an Erik Condra feed in front for his 15th goal of the season, leading all AHL rookies.

The Rampage have surrendered seven goals this season on 5-on-3 penalty kills.

San Antonio regained the lead at 16:36 of the first when Bobby MacIntyre found Bleackley streaking to the front for a 2-1 Rampage lead, his first AHL goal since March 30, 2018. Again Texas would quickly answer, as Hintz moved in on a breakaway against Ville Husso 28 seconds later and lifted a shot over the blocker for his sixth of the season to tie the game 2-2.

The Stars took their first lead at 10:31 of the second period when Shane Hanna's shot from the right circle beat Husso off the post and in for his first goal of the season. The goal came shortly after Husso had stopped Michael Mersch on a penalty shot to keep the score tied, the first penalty shot the Rampage have faced this season.

Hintz extended the Stars lead at 11:32 of the third with his second goal of the game. After Jakub Jerabek blocked Mersch's pass on a 2-on-1 rush, Hintz found the loose puck and slid it under Husso to make it 4-2 Texas. Colin Markison scored his fourth of the season into an empty net in the final minute of play to put the game away for Texas.

Kyrou has five goals and 14 points during his seven-game points streak. With an assist, Joey LaLeggia has points in four straight games for San Antonio. Husso stopped 25 shots in the loss.

The Stars have won four of the six meetings with San Antonio this season. The teams will have played each other 14 times by the end of the season.

The Rampage and Stars meet again Saturday night at the AT&T Center, where the Stanley Cup will be on display for fans to see. Puck-drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT., with the game available on The Ticket 760AM and on AHLTV.
