
Condors Head to Ridgecrest for Hockey Clinic; Coat Drive Wednesday

Upcoming week of January 6th - January 12th:
· Monday January 13th - Bakersfield Condors winger Jordan Roach will be taking on the roll of coach for the evening at The High Desert Forum's Ridgecrest In-Line Hockey program from 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Jordan will be running the teams through the same drills that he uses everyday in practice. The rink is located at the Desert Empire Fair at Joshua Hall, 520 South Richmond Avenue in Ridgecrest. The Condors Slapshot will be set up also so children of all ages can sharpen their shooting skills.
· Wednesday, January 15th - Join KGET-TV 17, KRAB Radio & The Gas Company for Project Warm Families as the Condors host the Idaho Steelheads. Fans can receive one free terrace ticket with the donation of a new or slightly used coat. The coats will be donated to needy families through the United Way of Kern County and the Bakersfield Police Activities League. Students, don't forget your ID as WB 12 & Kiss 96.5 host Student ID Discount Night. All college and high school students receive admission for $1.00 by presenting their student ID. 101.5 KGFM, Paramount Farms & ARRC Technology will host the fourth T.H.I.N.K. Night - Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge, of the season. The program allows students to earn tickets to tonight's game through exceptional performance. Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, which opens at 10:00 am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets and group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden. The doors open at 6:00 pm, the puck drops at 7:00 pm.
· Thursday, January 16th - Condors player Jamie Cooke will be at Fairview Elementary School from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm for a T.H.I.N.K. (Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge) program appearance. The Condors T.H.I.N.K. program is sponsored by 101.5 KGFM, Paramount Farms and ARRC Technology. Fairview Elementary is located at 425 E Fairview Road.
· Thursday, January 9th - Join the "Voice of the Condors", Kevin Bartl as he hosts the Condors Coach's Show on KGEO AM 1230 live from the Holiday Inn Select's Q Street Bistro from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Head Coach Paul Kelly and defensemen Quinn Fair and Guy Dupuis will be the guests on the show. The Holiday Inn Select is located at 801 Truxtun, on the corner of Q Street and Truxtun.
· Sunday, January 19th - Join the Condors as they host the Idaho Steelheads for Jersey Off Our Back Raffle & Auction Night, sponsored by the Spanish Radio Group. The Condors Metal Blade Warm-Up jerseys will be auctioned off after the game, plus everyone in attendance has a chance to win one of five to be given away. All proceeds form the jersey auction will be donated to the American Bone Marrow Donor Registry. Also, CBS 29, McDonald's & Big Valley Construction host Condors Classroom Champions Night. Students who achieve outstanding attendance levels will receive a complimentary ticket to the game. The night also includes San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District "Please Don't Light Tonight" Game. If the Condors shut out their opponent, all fans in attendance will receive complimentary admission to the next "Please Don't Light Tonight" game on February 12, 2003. · The Condors monthly Internet auction features the opportunity to Co-Host the Condors Coach's Show! This is your chance to sit along side the "Voice of the Condors", Kevin Bartl and co-host the Condors Coach's Show LIVE from the Holiday Inn Select's Q Street Bistro. · Condors Director of Group Sales & In-Game Promotions, Greg May, was elected the President of the Active 20-30 Club of Bakersfield. The Active 20-30 Club is among the largest and fastest growing young men's service organizations in the world. Similar in nearly every respect to Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions, Exchange, and other clubs, it differs only in that its membership is restricted to young business and professionals.
· It's the last full week to sign-up for two special opportunities to meet the Condors. The first Colonel Claw'd's Kids Club party with Condors players of the year is next Tuesday, January 21 at John's Incredible Pizza Company. Open only to Kids Club members, your $6.00 admission includes John's all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, soft drinks, 8 game tokens and one amusement ride.
· Sign-up's are still open for Ladies Night at Condors University, the Condors special hockey school just for ladies. The first class session is Wednesday, January 22. Your $75 tuition includes two nights of instruction both in the classroom and on the ice from Condors players, coaches and staff and a ticket to the Sunday, March 9 game vs. the Fresno Falcons.
