Peoria's Day Named InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Peoria's Greg Day is the InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week for January 6-12.

The 25-year-old Day scored six points (3g-3a) and was +6 in three games helping the Rivermen go 3-0 and increase their winning streak to six games.

Returning to the lineup after missing 25 days because of a knee injury, Day had an assist and was +2 in Peoria's 4-3 win at Lexington on Friday. The 5-11 and 185-pound Day scored the game-winning goal and had three points (2g-1a) in Peoria's 5-2 win at Greensboro on Saturday. He scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in the Rivermen's 2-0 win at Wheeling on Sunday.

In his first professional season, Day has scored seven goals and 14 points and is tied for second on the team with three game-winning goals while playing in 18 of Peoria's first 37 games.

On behalf of Greg Day, a case of pucks will be donated to a Peoria area youth hockey organization by InGlasCo.
