Snesrud Recalled to Manchester; Altschul Waived

READING, PA – The Manchester Monarchs have recalled defenseman Mat Snesrud. This marks Snesrud's second stint with the Royals American Hockey League affiliate this season. The Minnesota native has appeared in seven games with the Monarchs this season registering one assist and one point with a plus-4 rating. Snesrud has appeared in 35 games with Reading and notched six goals and 19 points. He is 8th on the team in scoring. Snesrud joins Royals forward Dan Riva and defenseman Chris Bogas in Manchester.

The Royals have waived forward Doug Altschul. The Chicago native played in four games with Reading was held scoreless and recorded two penalty minutes.

Reading has three games this week, two of those contests in the Sovereign Center. Saturday, the Royals battle the Greensboro Generals for the final time this season. The game is sponsored by Commonwealth Orthopaedics. Sunday, the Royals and the Roanoke Express tangle for the fifth time this season. Performance Toyota is the title sponsor of the game and be sure to play Outside In Bingo hockey.
