Roanoke, Va. – The Roanoke Express defeated the Boardwalk Bullies by a final of 3-2. Up 2-0 after the first period, the Bullies surrendered three unanswered goals to the Express, the team proven to be Atlantic City's toughest opponent so far this season. The Bullies are now 3-4-0 against Roanoke this year.

Rookie Jade Galbraith led the Bullies with a goal and an assist. Currently Galbraith is fourth in the league in scoring among rookies with 35 points on 14 goals and 21 assists in 36 games. First-year forward Jim Henkel scored the other Bullies goal on a power play, extending his scoring streak to eight games. Henkel has netted five goals and contributed seven assists in his last eight games.

Kevin Colley chipped in an assist, giving the Bullies' All-Star right wing 16 points (7G,9A) in his last 10 games. Winger J.F. Caudron assisted on Henkel's tally, extending his scoring streak to four games, and defenseman Jim Vickers, who is demonstrating his offensive skills as of late, added an assist on Galbraith's goal.

Netminder Matt Yeats stopped 27 Express shots and dropped just his fifth loss this season and is now 8-5-5.

Joe Dusbabek and Jason Jaffray scored first for the Express, and Dylan Gyori tallied the game-winner and added an assist, stretching his scoring streak to seven games with five goals and eight assists in his last seven games.

Richmond, Va. – For the fourth time in its last five games, the Northeast Division-leading Boardwalk Bullies earned a win, this time a 4-0 shutout against division rival Richmond.

Providence Bruins prospect Carl Corazzini tallied the game winner 13 minutes, 44 seconds into the opening frame. All-Star right wing Kevin Colley followed shortly after, netting his 25th goal of the year one minute, 22 seconds after Corazzini's goal.

After a scoreless second period, the Bullies returned with a third period filled with some offensive punch. Rookie Jim Henkel notched his 18th of the season on a power play, assisted by fellow rookie Jade Galbraith and winger J.F. Caudron.

Corazzini closed out the game with his second goal of the night, nearing the end of the third period.

Henkel finished the game with three points on his power-play goal and two assists. Corazzini and Galbraith each earned two points in the Bullies' fourth shutout victory this season.

Goalie Matt Yeats stopped all 35 Renegades shots in his second shutout win this year, his rookie season.

BULLIES BITES

The Bullies remain atop the Northeast Division with a 23-8-9 record and 55 points in 40 games...All-Star representative Kevin Colley continues to lead the Bullies in scoring with 54 points (25G,29A)... Colley is fifth in the league in scoring, tied for third in the league in goals with 25, and is third in the league in power-play goals with 11...Jade Galbraith is tied for fourth in the league in scoring among rookies with 37 points (14G,23A), and is tied for third in the league in assists among rookies with 23...Jim Henkel is on a nine-game point scoring streak with 15 points on six goals and nine assists in nine games stretching from December 18, 2002 to January 11, 2003...Henkel is sixth in the league in scoring among rookies with 35 points (18G,17A), is third in goals among rookies with 18, is tied for the league lead among rookies with three short-handed goals, and is second in the league among rookies in plus-minus with a plus-21.

The Bullies will face the Cyclones for the second time this year. On December 15, 2002, the Cyclones defeated the Bullies in a shootout by a final of 4-3. Scott Matzka leads the Bullies with three points on two goals and one assist against the Cyclones so far this year.
