Macri Bolsters Bullies Blue Line

Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies News Release


ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the New York Islanders, have announced that defenseman Vince Macri has been assigned to Atlantic City by Bridgeport of the American Hockey League. Macri is expected to be in the line-up tonight when the Bullies host the Trenton Titans in Game 3 of the 2005 North Division Semifinals.

Macri, 23, returns from his third stint of the season with the Sound Tigers. The Durham, NH native tallied five goals and 14 points in 49 games with Atlantic City to finish fourth among Bullies defensemen in scoring. He notched a single goal in 27 games with Bridgeport.

Trenton leads the series 2-0 after defeating the Bullies in overtime 2-1 in Game 2 Friday at Sovereign Bank Arena.

New Jersey's ECHL rivalry continues on as the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies and the Trenton Titans meet in Game 3 of the best-of-five North Division Semifinals of the 2005 Kelly Cup Playoffs at 4:05PM today at Historic Boardwalk Hall.

If necessary, the Bullies will return to Historic Boardwalk Hall to host Game 4 at 7:05PM on Tuesday.
