Two more goals in the second period, by Kyle Kidney and Greg Schmidt, stretched the Pride lead to 3-0 through 40 minutes. Augusta made it interesting, scoring goals at the 16:40 and 18:20 marks of the third period, but the Pride held them off to pick up the victory.

After Don Smith brought Florida within two with a goal midway through the final period, Wes Goldie and Mizzi added insurance markers, as the Pride moved into first place for the first time in a month.

Saturday, January 11 v. Trenton PRIDE 4 Titans 1

First-period goals by Gregor Krajnc (shorthanded) and Matt Reid (power play) staked the Pride out to an early lead. Krajnc's second of the night midway through the middle period and Mike Glumac's team-leading 21st of the season in the third period set the final.
