Utah Grizzlies News Release

West Valley City, Utah - The ECHL announced today that Utah Grizzlies goaltender Justin Eddy has finished as a runner-up for the league's Reebok Hockey Goaltender of the Week award.

Eddy finished the week 2-0 with a 1.50 GAA and a save percentage of .933, as the Grizzlies stretched their league-high winning streak to eight games.

Prior to this weekend, Eddy had not played in a game since October 28, but was activated from injured reserve when last week's Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week, Alfie Michaud, was placed on 7-Day Injured Reserve prior to the weekend.

On Friday, the Quinnipiac University alum stopped 20 of 21 shots from Phoenix in Utah's 2-1 win. Saturday, he turned away 22 of 24 RoadRunners shots in Utah's 4-2 win.

The 10-3 Grizzlies host Stockton at the E-Center Thursday; the Stanley Cup will also be present at the game. Friday and Saturday, first place in the ECHL's West Division will be on the line when the Grizzlies visit the 10-3-1 Idaho Steelheads. All games can be heard on KKAT AM 860, the new flagship radio station for Grizzlies hockey.
