Give a little, get a little at this weekend's Steelheads game

BOISE, Idaho - It's the season of giving and the Steelheads will give fans a ticket to an upcoming game for a donation to two worthy children's causes at Friday and Saturday nights' games.

The Idaho Steelheads are teaming up with St. Vincent de Paul on Friday night to provide children from low-income families books of their own to read, and with Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County on Saturday night to provide children with sports equipment for the after school programs.

Friday Night is Book Drive Night - fans who bring new or gently used children's books to donate at the Steelheads game will receive a ticket for an upcoming Steelheads game (one per person). All books will be donated to the St. Vincent de Paul Booklets Program.

Saturday Night is Sports Equipment Drive Night - bring new or gently used children's sports equipment (of all types) and receive a ticket for an upcoming Steelheads game (one per person). All equipment will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County.

The Steelheads face off against the Utah Grizzlies for two games, Friday and Saturday (November 25th and 26th) at Qwest Arena. The puck drops at 7:10 pm.

Season tickets, Flex-Plans and Mini-Plans are also available by calling (208) 383-0080.

St. Vincent de Paul Mission Statement: For over 40 years, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has been helping local families avoid homelessness by offering financial, food, and prescription assistance as well as clothing, furniture, household goods, children's books and resource information. With over 300 volunteers, the Society helps over 12,000 people in the Treasure Valley each year. Families are helped with no preference toward religion, ethnicity, race, disability, or creed.

Boys and Girls Club Mission Statement: To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
