Fresno Falcons News Release

FRESNO, Calif. - The San Jose Sharks assigned second-year winger Glenn Olson to the Fresno Falcons today. Under contract to the NHL club, Olson began this season with San Jose's American Hockey League affiliate, the Cleveland Barons. In 10 games with the Barons this year, the 6-foot-2, 220 lb. forward did not register a point and accumulated 16 penalty minutes. After battling through injuries that side-lined him for the first half of the 2004-05 campaign, Olson played 10 games for the Falcons last season. He posted one assist in a Fresno uniform while racking up 105 penalty minutes.

In a pair of other moves today, the Falcons placed defenseman Dustin VanBallegooie on seven-day injured reserve and transferred injured forward Fraser Clair from the seven-day injured list to the 30-day injured list. Brad Both remains on seven-day IR.

The Falcons face the Las Vegas Wranglers tonight at 7 p.m. at Save Mart Center. Individual tickets are on sale for the game at all Ticketmaster outlets and Save Mart Center's box office. Prices range from $8 - $22. For complete ticket information and an arena map of Save Mart Center, visit www.fresnofalcons.com/singletickets.html, or contact the Falcons front office directly at (559) 485-PUCK (7825).
