Trenton Devils News Release
READING, PA (November 22, 2005) "" Three first-period goals helped the Reading Royals down the Trenton Titans, 5-0, in front of 4,051 at the Sovereign Center.
The Royals struck early, just two minutes into the game, when Greg Hogeboom picked up a loose puck behind the net and stuffed a wraparound shot through the five-hole of Rejean Beauchemin.
From there, Mike Pandolfo took charge scoring two goals just thirty-nine seconds apart. The fourth-year pro deposited a backdoor pass from Hogeboom at 8:38 and then worked a two-on-one with Mike Kompon at 9:17 of the first frame.
Malcolm MacMillian added his first goal of the year at 19:09 of the second, while Kompon notched his sixth 1:44 into the third period to complete the scoring.
Beauchemin suffers his first regulation loss for the Titans making 21 saves during two periods of work.
Former Titan Cody Rudkowsky upped his record to 7-1-0 with his 19-save shutout performance.
Before the game the Titans released rookie forward Dustin Sproat. The native of Red Deer, Alberta did not appear in a game for Trenton this season.
