
Smith Returns To Toledo

(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL announced today that forward Scooter Smith has been reassigned to Toledo from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. In a separate move, the Storm released forward Rick Judson.
Smith, the native of Calgary, Alberta, appeared in two games with the Pirates and did not register a point. Scooter had played 3 other games in the American Hockey League with Syracuse back in 2002-03 with an assist. Scooter returns to Toledo as the leading scorer for the Storm with 7 goals and 12 assists.
Judson, the Storm's all-time leader in goals, assists, games played and points, played in just Saturday's game against Johnstown. Nick Vitucci said that Judson might be used again if a situation warrants.
