Last Weeks Highlights:
1/18/05 > Long Beach 5 @ Victoria 2
The Ice Dogs continued their dominance over the Victoria Salmon Kings last Tuesday night, winning 5-2. The Salmon Kings did lead twice in the game, scoring first and again leading 2-1, but Evan Cheverie tied the score late in the second period and the Ice Dogs never looked back. Chris Kenady scored with 27 second left in the second, and Nathan Martz and Marco Rosa both scored in the third. Chris Madden got the win, making 24 saves.
1/19/05 > Long Beach 3 @ Victoria 1
Long Beach improved to a perfect 9-0-0 against Victoria with a 3-1 victory Wednesday night. After a scoreless first period, Marco Rosa finally broke open the scoring midway through the second. Trevor Read added another late in the period to give the Ice Dogs a 2-0 lead before Chris Coronet of Victoria scored shorthanded midway through the third. Nathan Martz added the insurance goal with 1:32 remaining in the game and Olivier Michaud got the win in goal with 21 saves.
1/21/05 > Long Beach 4 vs. Pensacola 1
The Ice Dogs returned home to take on the Pensacola Ice Pilots Friday night in the teams' first ever meeting. The Ice Dogs took a 3-0 lead into the third period, with goals from Marco Rosa, Nathan Martz, and Christian Larrivee. The Ice Pilots finally got on the board 8:22 into the third, but Paul Dunphy sealed the win less than four minutes later. Chris Madden had 23 saves in the win.
1/22/05 > Long Beach 4 vs. Las Vegas 5 (SO)
The Long Beach Ice Dogs were going for their sixth straight win, but were forced to play catch-up to earn a point. Las Vegas led 4-2 in the third period, but the Ice Dogs were able to claw their way back with goals from Cory Urquhart and the game tying goal by Joe Cardarelli with 1:14 to play. The game remained tied after overtime, but was won by the Wranglers in the sixth round of a sudden death shootout. Chris Madden made 31 saves in his first shootout loss of the season.
1/23/05 > Long Beach 0 vs. Pensacola 3
Trying to get back on track after Saturday's game, the Ice Dogs fell to the Pensacola Ice Pilots in a rematch from Friday. Long Beach was unable to get the puck past Frederic Cloutier all night, as he made 34 saves in the shutout. Olivier Michaud made 26 saves in the loss as the Ice Dogs were shutout for the fourth time this season.

1/28/05 > Long Beach @ Bakersfield
The Ice Dogs and Condors will have a showdown Friday night for first place in the West Division. Long Beach is 2-1-1 versus Bakersfield this season, and currently trails the Condors by one point for the division lead.
1/29/05 > Long Beach @ Fresno
The Ice Dogs will head to Fresno on Saturday to take on the red hot Falcons. Fresno has won five in a row and is 9-0-1 in its last ten. The Ice Dogs are 2-1-0 against the Falcons so far this season and currently lead them by eight points in the West Division standings.
1/30/05 > Long Beach vs. Fresno
The Fresno Falcons and Long Beach Ice Dogs will get together again on Sunday, this time in a rematch at the Long Beach Arena. It will be the last Ice Dogs home game before heading out on an eight game road trip, their longest of the season.
