Las Vegas Wranglers News Release


Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers posted a 1-3-0 record for the past week. Wednesday night the Wranglers were defeated 4-2 in San Diego. Friday, the Gulls defeated the Wranglers 5-3 in San Diego. Saturday night, Las Vegas won 5-4 in a shootout at Long Beach. Sunday night, the Wranglers fell 4-2 at Fresno.

This week, the Reading Royals will host the 2005 Coors Light / ECHL All-Star Game on Wednesday. Las Vegas will play in Fresno on Friday night. Saturday night, the Wranglers return home to host the Victoria Salmon Kings at 7:05 pm.

San Diego, CA – The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the San Diego Gulls 4-2 in San Diego on Wednesday night. Gulls forward Mark Pederson scored a goal and added two assists to lead San Diego to the team's fifth straight win. Las Vegas forward Dustin Johner and defenseman Ryan Gaucher each scored for the Wranglers.

Friday, January 21st

Las Vegas 3 at San Diego 5

San Diego, CA – The Las Vegas Wranglers were beaten by the San Diego Gulls 5-3 in San Diego on Friday night. The Gulls scored five power-play goals, including two by Guilliaume Fournier. Las Vegas forwards Dustin Johner and Jeff Attard, along with defenseman Ryan Gaucher all scored in the loss. The Gulls won their sixth straight game.

Saturday, January 22nd

Las Vegas 5 at Long Beach 4 SO

Long Beach, CA – The Las Vegas Wranglers topped the Long Beach Ice Dogs 5-4 in a shootout at the Long Beach Arena on Saturday night. Las Vegas forwards Doug Wright, Dustin Johner and Darren Lynch, along with defenseman Regan Darby, all scored for the Wranglers. Las Vegas winger Shawn Limpright picked up three assists to help the Wranglers end a three-game losing skid.

Sunday, January 23rd

Las Vegas 2 at Fresno 4

Fresno, CA – The Las Vegas Wranglers were defeated by the Fresno Falcons 4-2 at the Save Mart Center on Sunday night. David Brisson's goal 28 seconds into the third period proved to be the game-winning goal for Fresno. Falcons' goalie Jamie Hodson stopped 37 of 39 Las Vegas shots for his ninth straight win. Forwards Dana Lattery and Jason Spence each scored for the Wranglers in the loss.

2005 Coors Light / ECHL All-Star Game Broadcast

Wranglers forward Dana Lattery and broadcaster Josh Fisher will be at the 2005 Coors Light / ECHL All-Star game. Fans in Las Vegas will be able to listen to the All-Star game on ESPN Radio 920 on a tape delayed basis at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 26th. Fisher will act as the reporter for the telecast. For the third consecutive year, the telecast will be available live to subscribers of the NHL Network in Canada while also being available live on Comcast Charter Sports Southeast and America One. A complete list of America One affiliated stations can be found at americaone.com while a complete list of CSS stations can be found at css-sports.com. The ECHL, in association with Yahoo! Broadcast, is also making the telecast available online with live broadband video for the third year in a row. The live broadcast video requires a minimum connection speed of 100 Kbytes and Real Player.

Dial-up customers will be able to listen to the radio broadcast on Yahoo! Broadcast, marking the seventh consecutive year that Yahoo! Broadcast has carried the ECHL All-Star Game audio broadcast live on the Internet.
