
Ice Pilots Remain In First At All Star Break

Ice Pilots End West Coast Road Trip going 2-1-1 this past week. The Ice Pilots picked up a point with an overtime loss at Fresno on Tuesday night 4-3. Scott May, Corey Neilson and Jordan Krestanovich scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Dan Tessier paced Fresno scoring 2 goals and 2 assists for 4 points including the game winning goal in overtime. Todd Ford took the overtime loss in goal for the Ice Pilots and Jamie Hodson was the winning goalie for Fresno.
The Ice Pilots lost 4-1 last Friday night at Long Beach. Cam Keith scored the only goal of the game for the Ice Pilots. Paul Dunphy, Nathan Martz, Christian Larrivee and Marco Rosa scored goals for Long Beach. Frederic Cloutier was the losing goalie and Chris Madden picked up the win in goal for the Ice Dogs. Long B! each outshot the Ice Pilots 29-24.
Ice Pilots won 4-3 at San Diego last Saturday in front of 8,245 fans. Jason Beckett, Jordan Krestanovich, Dwayne Hay and Scott May scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Todd Ford was the winning goalie. The Ice Pilots battled back from a 2-0 deficit. The Ice Pilots were outshot 31-27 in the game.
The Ice Pilots won 3-0 on Sunday at Long Beach. Chris St. Jacques, Tyler Beechey and Corey Neilson scored goals for the Ice Pilots. Frederic Cloutier picked up the shutout win in goal stopping 34 shots.
The Ice Pilots are in first place in the South Division at the all star break with a record of 24-11-4 for 52 points.
NEXT HOME GAMES AND UPCOMING PROMOTIONS: The Ice Pilots next home game will be this Friday, January 28th and this Saturday, January 29th vs. Augusta at 7:05 p.m. and will play home to Pee Dee this Sunday, January 30th at 5:05 p.m. January 28th is Hill Kelly Dodge and Hill Kelly Jeep Mardi Gras Night. The Ice Pilots will be wearin! g special Mardi Gras Jerseys with an auction after the game. A Mardi G ras Parade will take place during both intermissions. Resort Quest Vacation Home Network Fantasy Destination Winner will be announced. It is also a Florida Lottery Second Chance Night. The first 100 tickets for the game on Friday and also on Saturday night will get a ticket to the game. All of the Florida Lottery Tickets have been used for the 28th and also for the 29th and there are no more Florida Lottery Ticket vouchers left for either game . Saturday, January 29th Miss U.S.A. will be at the game sponsored by WEAR TV 3. Miss U.S.A. will sign autographs and drop the ceremonial puck. It is also NASCAR Night. Fans who wear Nascar apparel to the game will receive $2 off a game day ticket. The #9 Kasey Kahne Car will be at the plaza for photos. It is also Escambia County Night. Sunday is Family Day vs. Pee Dee at 5:05 p.m. A family of four can purchase 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas for $44 by calling the Ice Pilots at 432-PUCK. The Ice Pilots will sign autographs after the! game for kids club members only and than will skate after the game with the public skating session which is open for everyone.
Tentative Practice Schedule: There will be no practice Monday thru Thursday because of the All Star break and no ice at the Civic Center because of a concert. The Ice Pilots will have a pre skate Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m. and play home to Augusta on Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will play home to Pee Dee on Sunday at 5:05 p.m.
Leading Scorers: Tyler Beechey leads the Ice Pilots in scoring with 49 points and also leads the team with 20 goals and 29 assists. Beechey is the second leading scorer in the league with 46 points and is among the league leaders in goals with 19. Dwayne Hay is the second leading scorer on the team with 32 points. Corey Nielson is among the top scoring defenseman in the league with 30 points.
Ice Pilots All Stars: The Ice Pilots Dave Farrish will coach the American Conference in the Coors Light EC! HL All-Star game on Wednesday, January 26th in Reading, Pennsylvania. Corey Nielson will be the starting defenseman for the American Conference and Todd Ford will represent the Ice Pilots as a back up goalie. Tyler Beechey has been named as a replacement starter for the injured Mike Harder of Charlotte. Equipment Manager John Krouse will be the equipment manager for the American Conference.
WFGX TV will televise the Coors Light ECHL All-Star game live beginning at 6:00 p.m. central time.
Dodge Player of the Week: Defenseman Jason Beckett has been nominated for player of the week. Frederic Cloutier has been nominated for goalie of the week with the shutout win on Sunday at Long Beach. Frederic Cloutier has been named the Dodge/Player of the Week.
Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots leading scorer award this season. During the season, we will be updating you with the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed Ice Pilots top scorer. At the end of the season, Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed will present a trophy to the Ice Pilots t! op scorer. Fans will have an update on the Barnes Ace Hardware and Feed top scorer in the weekly release and at www.icepilots.com.
GEICO Three Stars of the Game: GEICO will be sponsoring the Ice Pilots Three Stars of the Game once again on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network this season and at every home game. Three lucky fans at home games will receive a t-shirt from the GEICO Three Stars of the Game this season. Mr. Hank Dousharm of GEICO will present the Ice Pilot player with a trophy at the end of the season with the GEICO Star of the Game award as the points will be updated throughout the season after every game on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com and every week with the Ice Pilots Weekly Release. Subway Alumni Game and Top Ten list for Hall of Fame Voting. The Subway Alumni Game is set for Saturday, February 26th at 5:05 p.m. before the Ice Pilots will play Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. Etienne Beaudry, Craig Brown, Eon MacFarlane, Christian Sbrocca, Martin "Choo Choo" Chouinard, Andrew Rodgers, Shane Calder, Chad Quenneville, Scott LaGrand, Scott Malone and Kelly Hultgren along with Ice Pilots owner Tim Kerr will play in the Subway Alumni Game. Other members will be announc! ed. Members of the Jr. Ice Pilots and Senior League will also participate. Vote for the Subway Ice Pilots Hall of Fame as the top ten finalists are Chad Quenneville, Glen Metropolit, Sean Gauthier, Shane Calder, Nick Stajduhar, Christian Sbrocca, Kelly Hultgren, John Tripp, Martin "Choo Choo" Chouinard and Brendan Concannon. Fans have the opportunity to select two out of the top ten finalists at www.icepilots.com. on the Subway Hall of Fame voting. A couple of players will be selected to have their name on the Subway Hall of Fame banner on the night of February 26th. The voting will end on January 31st and an announcement of the players being inducted will be in early February.
Alumni Jersey Auction is Underway: The Ice Pilots are proud to announce that the Alumni Jerseys that the Ice Pilots alumni and current players will be wearing on Subway Alumni Night Saturday, February 26th at 5:05 p.m. with the Subway Alumni Game followed by the Ice Pilots vs. Mississippi! at 7:05 p.m. is underway at www.icepilots.com.
The alumni jerseys a re in the color of navy blue with the letters Pensacola written on the front of the jersey in gold with white trim. It is the first time ever that a jersey has been done like this in the organization. The minimum bid for the jerseys is $200 and the auction will go until the middle of February.
Other miscellaneous game worn jerseys and non game worn jerseys will also be auctioned with the alumni jerseys. The winners of the alumni jerseys will be able to have their picture taken with the players on Subway Alumni Night after the game.
Season Ticket Packages are available with year round payments: Full season ticket packages and 16 game packages are available with year round payments. The following is a list of the full season ticket plan with year round payments: $22 seats for floor and glass is $49.99 per month, $15 seats for sides is $35.99 per month, $13 seats for goal and lower upper level is $32.99 per month, $10 seats for upper level is $24.99 per month.
Season tick! ets cost $649.44 for floor and glass seats, $459.00 for sides, $411.84 for behind the goal and lower upper level seats and $324.00 for upper level seats.

Assigned Players from Toronto Maple Leafs: The Ice Pilots currently have nine players on the roster assigned from Toronto. They are goalie Todd Ford, forward Scott May, defenseman Dave Turon, defenseman Dominic D'Amour, center Chris St. Jacques, center Kris Newbury, defenseman Tyson Marsh, center Cory Stillman and left wing Cam Keith. Tyson Marsh, Dominic D'Amour and Kris Newbury started the week recalled to St. John's of the AHL.
Kerr's Kids: For the second season in a row the Ice Pilots are introducing "Kerr's Kids." Thanks to Ice Pilots owner Tim Ke! rr and SMG (Pensacola Civic Center), the Ice Pilots would like to invite organizations devoted to helping children who are terminally ill or have special limitations to be our guest during the 2004-05 regular season for a great night of hockey. Each organization is encouraged to pick 3-4 dates throughout the regular season. The Ice Pilots will provide free admission for 12 people (We would like to have at least 6 or more children, escorts are required for the children and are counted as part of the 12). SMG will provide a hot dog and soda for each guest. If accessible seating is needed the Ice Pilots must be notified at least 2 days in advance and seating will be arranged. All members must stay in assigned seats. Please provide a list of attendee's 24 hours prior to game day. If you are interested in attending one of the Ice Pilots home game through "Kerr's Kids" please contact the Ice Pilots office at 432-7825 and ask for Melinda Palmer.
Listen to games on the ! Ice Pilots Hockey Network with the new Ice Pilots Flagship radio home AM 1620: Fans can listen to Ice Pilots games on the Ice Pilots Hockey Network. The network includes new flagship radio station AM 1620, Cox Communications and at icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. The game will also be taped delayed by Leafs TV. The pre-game show for Friday and Saturday night's games begin at 6:50 p.m. The pre game show for Sunday's game begins at 4:50 p.m.
Ice Pilots Offer Pay-Per-View Webcasts with B2 Networks this season. The Ice Pilots home games and several road games will be available for viewing on the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. The Ice Pilots have partnered with B2 Networks based in Las Vegas, Nevada on the pay-per-view broadcast.
Fans will be able to click on the "Watch the Game Live" icon at the Ice Pilots website to view and listen to the game. The broadcast is available to fans with a high speed DSL or Cable modem internet connection and the charge is $6 per game. At this time a total of 58 of the Ice Pilots 72 ! regular season games will be available for viewing at www.icepilots.com. All three games this weekend will be available as a pay per view webcast offer.
Ice Pilots Radio Show at the Gutter Lounge again this season: The Ice Pilots Radio show will once again be broadcasted from the Gutter Lounge at Phoenix Crossing inside the new Liberty Lanes this year located at 3200 North Palafox Street. The show is broadcasted on the Ice Pilots hockey network from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Fans can hear the radio show on the Ice Pilots new flagship radio station AM 1620 and on the internet at www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue. Fans can meet the players, head coach Dave Farrish and members of the Ice Pilots office staff all season long. The next Ice Pilots Coaches Radio Show will be Monday, January 31st. Scott May and Cory Stillman will be the player guests. There will be no show tonight, January 24th as the Ice Pilots will be returning from the West Coast Trip.
