Atlanta Gladiators News Release
The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that rookie forward Colin Stuart and defenseman Ryan Van Buskirk have been recalled by the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
Stuart appeared in 5 games with the Gladiators scoring his first professional goal with 12 seconds left in the third period in the Gladiators 4-3 shootout win over Florida on Friday night.
Under contract to the Atlanta Thrashers, Stuart was assigned to Gwinnett on January 13th and has posted a goal and 3 assists for 4 points. The rookie out of Colorado College recorded 2 assists in 18 games this season with Chicago before coming to Gwinnett.
Van Buskirk makes his second trip the Chicago this season. The defenseman was first recalled to the Wolves on December 18th appearing in 5 games and recording an assists for Chicago.
The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario native has scored 1 goal and picked up11 assists for 12 points for the Gladiators this season.
The Central Division Champion Gwinnett Gladiators continue their second season at the Arena at Gwinnett Center on Friday, January 28th against the Columbia Inferno at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators offer several ticket packages for different needs as well as group outings, suites and birthday parties. The Gladiators play all 36 home games at the Arena at Gwinnett Center located on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth and are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers.
