LAST WEEK: Pee Dee went 1-1-0 last week, and is 22-14-2 overall on the season for 46 points. The Pride remain in second place in the East Division, four points behind Charlotte. The Pride embark on an eight-game road trip, and do not return home until February 11.
Friday, January 21 v. Louisiana PRIDE 6 IceGators 1
Adam Elzinga tallied two goals and an assist, and five others tallied two points as the Pride rolled to a 6-1 win over the IceGators. The Pride scored three times in a five-minute span midway through the second period to take a 5-0 lead after 40 minutes. Louisiana's Mark Rooneem spoiled Nick Boucher's shutout bid at 8:40 of the third period. Chad Spurr added his 10th of the season at 11:10 of the final period to set the final.
Saturday, January 22 v. Johnstown Chiefs 4 PRIDE 2
The Pride ended their five-game home stand with a 4-2 loss to Johnstown. Jean Desrochers put the Chiefs on the board first with just 2.9 seconds remaining in the first period. Pee Dee tied it on Tyler Kindle's sixth goal of the season 6:15 into the second period. The Chiefs added two goals before the period ended to take a 3-1 lead to the third period. The Pride pulled back within one 6:24 into the third on Jeff Szwez' 14th of the season, but Johnstown's Chad Cavanagh scored at 12:02 to make it 4-2, and the Pride would get no closer.

The Pride and Sea Wolves meet for the first two times this season. Last year, Mississippi won both meetings between the two teams. Pride Head Coach Perry Florio and Sea Wolves Head Coach Bob Woods were teammates with the Johnstown Chiefs from 1990-94. The Pride are 9-5-1 all-time against the Sea Wolves. Mississippi is 19-14-3 for 41 points, and is in fourth place in the South Division.

The Pride and Ice Pilots meet for the first of two times this season, and for the first time in Pensacola since February 2, 2002. Last season, the Ice Pilots won the only meeting between the two teams. Pee Dee is 5-6-0 all-time against Pensacola. The Ice Pilots are in first place in the South Division with a record of 24-11-4 for 52 points.
PRIDE IN THE COMMUNITY
Sunday, February 13
The Pride Booster Club is sponsoring a "Bowl With the Pride" event on Feb. 13th at 3:00 at Southgate Bowling Center. Everyone is invited to bowl with the players, not just booster club members. There is a charge of $25 to bowl 3 games which includes shoes. There will be players on each lane and they will rotate lanes after each game. PRIDE NOTES
- Chad Spurr enters the week on an 11-game scoring streak, the longest active streak in the ECHL. During his streak, Spurr tallied six goals and 14 assists. Allan Sirois' scoring streak ended on Saturday at 10 games. He posted seven goals and 11 assists during his streak.
- Both Brian Collins and Jeff Szwez enter the week on six-game scoring streaks.
- Saturday's loss to Johnstown was the first time since December 5, a span of 11 home games, that the Pride did not score the first goal at home.
- Saturday was the first time in the last 11 games that the Pride did not score a power-play goal.
- Tyler Kindle is tied for fourth among ECHL defensemen in scoring with 27 points.

HOCKEY TONIGHT SIGNS
The Pride's "Hockey Tonight" yard signs are back! If you need a new yard sign, you can pick one up at the Pride office between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, or at the Customer Service Tables during home games. Remember to place your yard signs on game days. The Pride return home on Friday, February 11.

Tickets for all Pride home games can be purchased at the Florence Civic Center Box Office (10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday; through the second period on game nights), all TicketMaster outlets, by phone at (843) 679-9333 or on-line at www.ticketmaster.com. In addition, group tickets are now available for all Pride home games.
