Ice Dogs and fans donate over 2,000 books to charity

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs of the ECHL, a proud affiliate of the Boston Bruins, are proud to announce that over 2000 children's books were donated to the "Book Buddies by Molina Healthcare" at last Saturday nights Ice Dogs game at the Long Beach Arena.

Book Buddies by Molina Healthcare is a literary program that provides free books to children and promotes reading at Lincoln Elementary School in Long Beach.

The Ice Dogs gave all fans donating a book a free ticket to the Friday March 16th game vs. the Bakersfield Condors.

The Ice Dogs continue their six game home stand on Friday, March 2nd at 7:30pm at the Long Beach Arena vs. the Idaho Steelheads on "Pink in the Rink Pride Night" with portions of the proceeds to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation. The first 2000 fans will receive a pink Ice Dogs' awareness bracelet and the Ice Dogs will be wearing a special pink jersey which will be auctioned off during the game.
