
Gladiators Host Big Wheel Relay for American Cancer Society

The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they will be hosting an American Cancer Society Weekend on Thursday, March 29th and Saturday, March 31st teaming up with the Law Offices of Gary Martin Hays & Associates to raise money for the American Cancer Society through the organization's Relay for Life event.
"It is our goal to build awareness for the American Cancer Society," said Gary Martin Hays. "as well as to encourage people to participate in the upcoming Relay for Life on May 11th and May 12th, and to motivate people to donate."
Everyone knows someone who directly or indirectly has been affected by this disease." said Mike Miller, Director of Corporate Sales for the Gladiators. "We are excited about this opportunity to make a difference in the fight against cancer,"
To raise awareness of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life, the Law Offices of Gary Martin Hays & Associates will be participating in a Big Wheel Relay. The Big Wheel Relay will begin Thursday, March 29th during the Gladiators game against the South Carolina Stingrays. The participants will ride through the club level of the Arena at Gwinnett Center for 48 hours ending during the first period of the Gladiators game on Saturday, March 31st against the Pensacola Ice Pilots. "The American Cancer Society is excited to team up with Gary Martin Hays & Associates and the Gwinnett Gladiators in the fight against cancer," said Randy Redner, Area Manager for American Cancer Society.
"We have been involved with Gary Hays and his Big Wheel ride to start Relay For Life for the past two years and to bring all the fun to thousands of people at the Gladiators game is just going to take it to a new level."
In addition to the Big Wheel Relay, there will be a silent auction to benefit American Cancer Society throughout the weekend. The American Cancer Society will also have representatives passing out donation envelopes as fans enter the building for both games on Thursday, March 29th and Saturday, March 31st.
The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games on the Your Best Rate Financial Home Ice at the spectacular 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth, where parking is always free.
