
Fans' Choice Awards Banquet Set For April 3

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL today announced that the organization will hold the Sixth Annual Fans' Choice Awards Banquet on Tuesday, April 3 at 6 pm. The banquet, which is open to the public at a cost of $40 per person, $35 for full season ticket holders and $25 for children under twelve, will be held at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center. In addition to handing out the annual awards, the Royals' V&M Towing warm-up jerseys will also be auctioned off on the night of the banquet. Reservations are required to attend and can be made by calling Theresa Woods in the Royals' office at 610-898-7211. Space is limited, so it is recommended that reservations be made promptly.
The official ballot for the Fans' Choice Awards will be released tomorrow in the Reading Eagle. Fans can submit their ballots at the table specifically set up for that purpose in the Sovereign Center's concourse during the Royals' home games on March 2, 3, 17 and 18. Ballots will also be available at that table for fans to fill out. Fans can also submit their ballots by mailing them care of "Reading Royals' Awards Banquet", P.O. Box 1216, Reading PA 19603.

The Royals return to action on Friday night (7:05 pm) at the Sovereign Center against the Johnstown Chiefs, when Athletic Trainer Brian Grogesky will become the third person in team history inducted into the Reading Eagle Wall of Honor. The first 2000 fans that night will receive a Brian Grogesky trading card courtesy of the Reading Eagle. Royals' game night broadcasts can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1240 am (and on the internet through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com), beginning thirty minutes before the opening face-off. Streaming video is also available for $6.00 per game through the B2 Networks, which can be accessed through the Royals' website.
