EVERBLADES JERSEY AUCTION RAISES OVER $36,000 FOR CHARITY

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades annual St. Patrick's Day jersey auction at TECO Arena this past Sunday, March 17th raised $36,100 which will benefit the Boy's and Girl's Club of Lee County, Big Brother's and Big Sister's and MDA. Goaltender Randy Petruk's jersey was auctioned off for $3,100 and Tom Buckley's went for $2,800. A list of what each jersey was auctioned for is listed below. Last year's auction raised nearly $30,000 for the Boys and Girls Club of Collier County, the Candlelighters of SW Florida and the Jr. Everblades.
In other news, on Tuesday, March 19th Seminole Indian Casino will be giving away a trip to Las Vegas during the second intermission bingo game. On Friday, March 22nd the first 2,000 kids 13 and under through the doors will receive a free set of Everblades trading cards courtesy of WB-6. Saturday night is Fan Appreciation Night at TECO Arena. Thousands of prizes will be given away and Busch Gardens will be on hand displaying animals on the concourse.
Florida plays game two of their two game series against Peoria on Tuesday night at TECO Arena. The puck drops at 7:00 PM. The Everblades then host the 2002 Brabham Cup Champion Louisiana Ice Gators next Friday and Saturday night at TECO Arena. Saturday is Fan Appreciation Night. Face-off is set for 7:30 for both nights. All 72 regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM, 98.9 "The Gulf" and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Mark Miller calling the play-by-play.
