WEEKLY SUMMARY:
The Johnstown Chiefs (34-29-2; 70 PTS NW Div.) maintained their third place position in the Northwest division after going 1-2-0 on the week. The Chiefs trail second place Peoria by thirteen points, and lead fourth place Wheeling by one point. The Chiefs will begin the first game of a five game, ten day road trip Wednesday, when they travel to Toledo.

GAME #63 (3/14/02) CINCINNATI 4 - Johnstown 2
Boutin Goal, Assist
The Chiefs dropped their second straight game last Thursday night, at Cincinnati 4-2. Blair Stayzer scored his first goal of the season, while J.F. Boutin also scored for the Chiefs. Goaltender Frederic Deschenes made 25 saves in the loss. The Chiefs out shot the Cyclones 34-29 in the contest.

GAME #64 (3/15/02) Atlantic City 3 - JOHNSTOWN 1
Deschenes 25 Saves
The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies scored two third period goals to break a 2-2 tie, and defeated the Chiefs 3-1 Friday night, at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena. David Gove scored the lone goal on the power play for the Chiefs. Dany Sabourin made 32 saves in goal.

GAME #65 (3/16/02) JOHNSTOWN 4 - Reading 2
Schneider Two Goals
J.F. Boutin's goal with 7:11 left in the 3 rd period lifted the Chiefs to a 4-2 win Saturday night at the War Memorial. Eric Schneider scored two goals including an empty net goal, while Jim Leger also tallied for the Chiefs. Frederic Deschenes made 29 saves for his 23 rd win of the season. The win was the Chiefs 22 nd of the season at home, a franchise record (1993-94).

The Chiefs and the Toledo Storm (27-30-7; 61 PTS NW div.)meet for the ninth time of the season Wednesday night. The Chiefs are 4-4-0 against the Storm this season with three of those loses at the Toledo Sports Arena. The Storm are currently in last place in the Northwest division, trailing fifth place Cincinnati by three points.

The Chiefs and the Peoria Rivermen (38-20-7; 83 PTS NW div.)meet for the fourth and fifth time this season, Friday and Saturday night in Peoria. Johnstown is a perfect 4-0-0 against the Rivermen this season, out scoring them 11-7. The Rivermen have already clinched a playoff spot. They are currently in second place in the Northwest division, trailing first place Dayton by one point.

•The Chiefs broke the franchise record for most home wins in a season with Saturday night's 4-2 win over Reading. The 1993-94 team had 21 wins in a 68 game season. The current Chiefs broke the record in the 65 th game.
•The Chiefs have not won on the road since February 8 th (6 Games)
•20 of Dan Carlson's 25 goals have come at home this season.
•Eric Schneider is now ranked 8 th on the Chiefs all-time goals list (67).
•The Chiefs as a team are a combined +7 at home, and a -191 on the road this season.
