Roanoke's Johnstone Named InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Roanoke right wing Jeff Johnstone is the InGlasCo East Coast Hockey League Player of the Week for March 11-17.

Playing in his first games for the Express since being acquired from Toledo for future considerations, Johnstone scored eight points in three games.

The 6-0 and 194-pound Johnstone scored two goals and assisted on two other goals while helping Roanoke beat Northeast Division rival Reading 7-2 on Friday. He then scored a goal and assisted on the Express¹ other two goals in a 3-2 win at Wheeling on Sunday. He also picked up an assist in Roanoke¹s 3-2 loss against Richmond on Saturday.

Johnstone opened the season with Amarillo in the Central Hockey League and scored 43 points (14g-29a) in 49 games.

On behalf of Jeff Johnstone, a case of pucks will be donated to a Roanoke area youth hockey organization by InGlasco, the official puck supplier of the ECHL.
