New Benefits Include Tickets To Road Games And Discounts On Concessions!

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League have announced that season tickets for their 2002-2003 campaign are currently on sale. Along with fast-paced, hard hitting, family fun and excitement, the Condors have added many new benefits to their season ticket packages for next season.

"I think our season ticket holders will be very pleased with the additional benefits and value we've added," said Condors President & GM Matthew Riley. "We obviously want to take care of our most loyal fans, and we feel this benefit package is the best in professional sports."

In the 2002-2003 season the Condors will play 36 regular season home games at Bakersfield Centennial Garden. The West Coast Hockey League's regular season begins October 11, 2002 and concludes April 5, 2003. Only a 20% deposit is required to lock in your seat location. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the Condors at 324-PUCK (7825), or at any remaining home games this season.

The Condors have six different rates for full-season tickets. Ticket prices have increased only $1.00 per game over a five-year period, certainly one of the smallest price hikes in professional sports. The new benefits for season ticket holders this coming season are many, such as: tickets to one game each in Fresno, Long Beach and San Diego, discounted concessions items with the new VIP Concessions Card, a free copy of the Nightly Notes for every home game, Frequent Fan Rewards Program where the more you come, the more stuff you get, and much more!

Season ticket holders will also enjoy all the benefits that were available in previous seasons including; the best Never-A-Wasted Ticket Program in all of professional sports, which allows ticket holders to exchange any unused tickets for seats to any Sunday-Friday game, exclusive contact with the team, and discounts on team merchandise, to name a few.

The Condors next home game is this Wednesday, March 20 when they play host to the Tacoma Sabercats. Wednesday is Univision 39 & Power 102.9 Fiesta Night. Complimentary children's tickets are available at designated locations. Wednesday's game is also Cesar C. Chavez Children Book Drive. Fans can receive one free terrace ticket with the donation of a new or gently used children's book. The CHP and Dept. of Housing & Community Development will donate the books to children of farm workers.

Also, 101.5 KGFM, Paramount Farms, AFSA Data Corp. & ARRC Technology are supporting the Condors T.H.I.N.K-Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge- program. Which allows students to earn free tickets to tonight's game through exceptional performance.

The annual Tip-A-Condor Event takes place tonight at Wood'ys Grill, Bar & Deck on Truxtun Avenue from 5:30-8:00pm. Condors players will serve as waiters for the evening and the tips they receive will go into a fund set up for Wendi Lund, who is the girlfriend of Idaho Steelheads winger Derek Paget, and has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Her treatment is not covered by insurance.

Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets and group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden.
