Utah Goaltenders Switch Addresses

WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH (Mar. 10, 2003) - The Utah Grizzlies National Hockey League (NHL) affiliate, the Dallas Stars, announced today that they have re-called goaltender Corey Hirsch from the Grizzlies and re-assigned goaltender Jason Bacashihua to Utah.

Bacashihua, 20, is 14-15-1 with a 3.25 goals against average and a .907 save percentage with two shutouts in his rookie season with the Grizzlies. He was re-called to Dallas last Monday marking his initial NHL call-up with the Stars despite not playing in a game. The youngster was Dallas' first round selection (26th overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.

Hirsch, 30, played in all three games for the Grizzlies this past weekend stopping 90 of 99 shots faced and going 1-2-0. On the season, Hirsch is 12-13-2 with a 2.77 goals against average and a .920 save percentage. In his career, Hirsch has played in 107 NHL games posting a 34-44-14 record with a career goals against average of 3.15.

The Grizzlies kick-off a three-game home stand on Wednesday when they host the Central Division leading Grand Rapids Griffins. Face-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
