Greensboro Tuesday, March 11, 2003 7:00 North Charleston Coliseum

Greensboro has beaten the Stingrays twice this season, once in overtime and once in shootout. Both games in the season series have taken place in Greensboro. Greensboro has a road record of 13-10-6. The Stingrays have a mark of 16-11-2 at home. This is the first game at the Coliseum for former Stingrays Head Coach Rick Adduono as Coach of the Generals.

At the Coliseum: Two for Tuesday, two-dollar beers, two for one tickets and hot dogs. Budweiser Clydesdales will be outside the Coliseum from 5:00-6:00.

@ Augusta Friday, March 14, 2003 7:35 Richmond County Coliseum

This is the sixth game of the season between these two teams. The Stingrays have a record of 4-1 against the Lynx this season. The Rays only remaining two road games will take place in Augusta.

Charlotte Saturday, March 15, 2003 7:30 North Charleston Coliseum

This is the sixth game of the season between these two teams. The Stingrays have a record of 3-1-1 against the Checkers this season. The Checkers have a record of 15-13-2 on the road. The Stingrays are 5-6-3 against the Northern Conference this season.

Augusta Sunday, March 16, 2003 3:00 North Charleston Coliseum The Stingrays have a record of 30-14-2 against the Southeast Division, including a mark of 14-8-1 at home. Second game of a five game home stand for the Stingrays.

Last Week in Review:

The Stingrays continued to play well on the road, going 1-0-2 on a three game road trip through the Southwest. The Stingrays lost in overtime to at Mississippi, 3-2, on Friday night despite out shooting the Sea Wolves 44-35. On Saturday, the Rays lost in a shootout to the Baton Rouge Kingfish 4-3. The team finished off the week with a 4-2 victory over the Louisiana Ice Gators. The win over the Gators continued a nine game road unbeaten streak.

Team Notes:

The Stingrays currently have a four-point lead on both the Pee Dee Pride and the Florida Everblades for second place in the Southeast. The team is currently five points behind the Columbia Inferno in the chase for first place. The Stingrays have not lost in nine straight road games (7-0-2) The team has just two road games remaining out of its last nine, both games are in Augusta. The Rays have the best road record in the ECHL with a mark of 20-9-5 and a home mark of 16-11-2. The Stingrays are ranked second in the ECHL in power play goals scored with 81. The Stingrays are 5-2 in shootouts and 3-3 in overtime this season. The Stingrays are 22-3-5 when leading heading into the third period this season.

Players:

Marty Clapton has a 13 game point streak which has seen him score two goals and 14 assists. Dave Seitz is ninth in the ECHL in Scoring with 75 points on 19 goals and 56 assists. His 56 assists are a career high. Kirk Daubenspeck has not been beaten in ten straight starts (9-0-1). In five of the ten games, he allowed just one goal against. Daubenspeck has won 33 games this season, which leads the ECHL and is a Stingrays franchise record. Joel Irving is on a seven game point streak.
