Idaho Steelheads News Release
BOISE, Idaho - After a great weekend of hockey against the Bakersfield Condors, the Idaho Steelheads remain the West Coast Hockey League's first place team. The Steelheads swept the two-game set against the Condors, winning Friday by a score of 2-1, and Saturday's contest 3-1.
Idaho has a 13-point lead over second-place San Diego, though both teams are hot right now. Idaho's is 8-2 in their last ten, while San Diego is 7-3 and on a 5-game win streak. Third place Bakersfield is 7-3 in their last ten.

The league record for most assists by a defenseman in one season is 64 set by Scott Drevitch of the Tacoma Sabercats in 1997-98, and again in 1998-99. Chris Newans of the Anchorage Aces holds the league record for most points scored by a defenseman in a single season at 83 set in 1996-97.
