
Titans Enter Light Week With A Pair Of Games

The Trenton Titans (33-20-9) extended their regulation unbeaten streak to five games (4-0-1) by going 2-0-1 last week with wins over Greensboro and Wheeling sandwiching a point earned in Reading. This week the Titans play two games starting on Tuesday night at home against the Richmond Renegades (30-29-4). It is the seventh of eight meetings between the teams with the Renegades holding a 4-2 edge over the Titans. The Titans are 1-1 in Trenton this season, and Adam Edinger has six points (2 goal, 4 assists) in the season series. On Saturday night the Titans travel to Johnstown (25-29-9) to face the Chiefs for the fifth and final time this season. The Titans are 2-1-1 against the Chiefs and won the only meeting in Johnstown 6-1 on February 21st. Three different players have five points for the Titans in the season series. The Titans game on Friday March 14th in Dayton has been re-scheduled for Tuesday night March 18th at 6:15 pm.
"Player of the Week - Scott Bertoli - Sets Franchise Goal Record; Points In 22 Of Last 23 Games:
Left wing Scott Bertoli already owns the Titans' franchise record for assists and points, now he owns the record for most goals with 81. In last Wednesday night's 4-3 shootout loss in Reading, he netted a pair of goals eclipsing Cail MacLean's record of 79. He also added another goal and an assist in the 3-2 win over Wheeling on Saturday. Bertoli finished with seven points (3 goals, 4 assists) last week. His career and Titans' franchise point streak ended at 18 on March 1st against Roanoke. During the streak he netted eight goals and 20 assists. Bertoli had five multiple point efforts, including a season high four assists in a 4-0 win against Greensboro on February 15th. He broke his own streak and the previous franchise record point streak of 15 games set during his rookie season (1999-2000), in which he totaled 25 points (4 goals, 21 assists). Since then he has points in his next four games, and eight points total (3 goals, 5 assists).
"He Shoots, He Scores!!!"
Right wing Mike Hurley was clutch once again scoring a power play goal at 19:59 of the final period to beat his former team Wheeling 3-2 on Saturday afternoon. He now has 17 goals in just 22 games with the Titans. Saturday's tally was Hurley's third game-winner with the Titans, and fourth this season. He has now has nine goals in 11 road games with the Titans, and a +7 rating. Hurley currently has a five-game point streak (4 goals, 2 assists).

Marco Charpentier extended his point streak to six games with a power play goal on Saturday against Wheeling. He has seven points (3 goals, 4 assists) during the streak, and 13 points (7 goals) in his last 10 games.
