Game Preview Tuesday will mark the eighth and final regular season meeting between the K-Wings and the Adirondack IceHawks this year. Kalamazoo enters the contest looking gain ground on both Flint and Rockford for the final playoff spot in the UHL playoffs. The K-Wings are just four points behind the Generals and one point behind the IceHogs. With the K-Wings and the IceHawks playing the lone game in the UHL on Tuesday, a Kalamazoo victory will put the K-Wings within a single point of a playoff birth. The IceHawks enter the contest red hot, as they have won 4 straight games, and are now just one point behind Fort Wayne for first place in the Eastern Conference.
The K-Wings are led by Peter Roed and Chad Alban. Roed leads the K-Wings in points with 54. Peter is also one of five K-Wing players that will enter Tuesday's game on a multiple game point streak. Chad Alban has been an ironman for Kalamazoo. The two time Goaltender of the Week in the UHL has kept the K-Wings in every game this season with his ability to make the big saves. Chad's 3.42 ranks him 10th in the UHL in GAA.
The IceHawks are led by Hugo Belanger, J.C. Ruid, and Jason Wolfe. Belanger leads all UHL players in scoring with 128 points. Hugo's 128 points is 30 points better then next two players in the league, which includes teammate J.C. Ruid. Manning the pipes for the IceHawks has been Jason Wolfe. Wolfe enters the game 4th in the UHL in goals against average with a GAA of 2.81.

Roed Scoring streak Grows to Eight While his K-Wings season high 6 game goal streak came to an end last night, forward Shawn Roed did managed to get an assist in the game. His assist extends his scorings streak to 7 games, which ties him with Mark Vilneff for the K-Wings second longest streak of the season, and places him just one game behind Mark Lawrence, who has the longest scoring streak for the K-Wings with 8 games. All Roeds Lead to the Net It's just not Shawn that has found a scoring touch, older brother Peter also carries a scoring streak into the week. Peter has scored in his last 6 games, which ties his longest streak of the season.
Streaky Players Keeping with the trend, Yannick Carpentier and Kurt Miller enter the week with 7 game point streak. For both players, the seven game streak is their longest scoring streak of the year. Carpentier also starts the week with a 5 game goal streak.
Playoff Hunt The K-Wings start the week 4 points behind Flint and one point behind Rockford for the final playoff spot in the UHL playoffs. Heading into their game against Adirondack has 9 games remaining in the regular season.
