Upcoming week of March 10th - March 16th:
· Tuesday, March 11th - Condors players Jamie Cooke and Christoffer Norgren will be at Rio Bravo Greeley Elementary School from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm for a T.H.I.N.K. (Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge) program appearance. The Condors T.H.I.N.K. program is sponsored by 101.5 KGFM, Paramount Farms and ARRC Technology. Rio Bravo Greeley Elementary School is located at 6601 Enos Lane.
· Tuesday, March 11th - Condors Center Shawn Byram and Winger Christian Skoryna will be heading to Lakeside Elementary School to take part in their celebrity reader celebration. Byram and Skoryna visiting kindergarten through fifth grade students from 10:15 am - 12:00 pm. Lakeside Elementary School is located at 14535 Old River Road.
· Wednesday, March 12th - Condors players Jeff Goldie and David Bell will be at Highland Elementary School from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm for a T.H.I.N.K. (Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge) program appearance. The Condors T.H.I.N.K. program is sponsored by 101.5 KGFM, Paramount Farms and ARRC Technology. Highland Elementary School is located at 2900 Barnett Avenue.
· Wednesday, March 12th - Condors players Paul Rosebush and Kevin St. Pierre will be at Redwood Elementary School from 1:15 pm - 2:15 pm for a T.H.I.N.K. (Turn Hockey Into New Knowledge) program appearance. The Condors T.H.I.N.K. program is sponsored by 101.5 KGFM, Paramount Farms and ARRC Technology. Redwood Elementary School is located at 331 North Shafter Avenue.
· Thursday, March 13th - Join the "Voice of the Condors", Kevin Bartl as he hosts the Condors Coach's Show on KGEO AM 1230 live from the Holiday Inn Select's Q Street Bistro from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Head Coach Paul Kelly and defenseman Wes Swinson will be the guests on the show. The Holiday Inn Select is located at 801 Truxtun, on the corner of Q Street and Truxtun.
· Saturday, March 15th - Cal, the Baby Condor, will be attending CASA's pre-game fundraiser at Luigi's Restaurant & Delicatessen at 5:00 pm. For more information, contact CASA at 631-2272. Luigi's is located at 725 East 19th Street.
· Saturday, March 15th - Join the Condors as they host the Idaho Steelheads for KLLY 95.3 & Burlington Homes Jersey Off Our Back Raffle & Auction. Commemorative game-worn jerseys, designed by the fans, will be auctioned off after the game. Plus everyone in attendance has a chance to win one of five to be given away! All proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Kern County. Also, Smooth Jazz 97.7 will be sponsoring an eyeglass collection. Fans can receive one free terrace ticket with the donation of a pair of slightly used eyeglasses to benefit the Kern County Lions Club. The night is also the Condors 4th Annual Christian Music Festival, presented by Jesus Shack Productions. Come enjoy live music as five Christian rock bands will perform outside of Centennial Garden on the Plaza prior the game, beginning at 2:00 pm. Churches wishing to purchase discounted tickets to the game should contact the Condors office at 324-PUCK (7825). Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, open 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Group outings may be purchased by calling, or visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden. The doors open at 6:00 pm and the puck drops at 7:00 pm.
· Sunday, March 16th - The Condors will be hosting the final public skate of the season at Centennial Garden, sponsored by KBID 1350. Fans can take to the ice from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Admission is $7.00 and $3.00 for skate rental, or bring your own.
· Sunday, March 16th - Cal, the Baby Condor, will be at The Arts Council of Kern St. Patrick Day Celebration from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm. The event will take place at the Herb Walker Rooftop. The Herb Walker building is located on 17th Street between Chester Street and L Street.
Week in Review:
· Monday, March 3rd - The Condors hosted first real time chat with a Condor. Condors Captain Paul Willett answered questions from fans, who logged on to www.condorsonline.com.
Condors Droppings:
· The fifth annual Tip-A-Condor will be held on Monday, March 24th at the Crystal Palace from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Sponsored by KUZZ 107.9, this year's event will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The charity dinner features Condors players and coaches posing as waiters for an evening, serving food and drinks to patrons. Tickets to the event are $25.00, $10.00 for children under 10, with a dinner including tri-tip, chicken, rice, salad, potato and rolls. There will be a live auction as well after the dinner, with items ranging from signed merchandise to the stick used by Captain Paul Willett to record his 1,000th career point The Crystal Palace is located at 3223 Sillect Avenue. Tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased at the Condors office next to Centennial Garden, which is open from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. They can also be purchased at the Claw'd's Squad Table in the concourse behind section 109 during all home games.
· The Condors find themselves in the #8 slot in the 'AA' minor league hockey poll on the web site www.inthecrease.com.
