South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Week That Was: The Stingrays opened up their 14th season of hockey last weekend and finished 1-1-0 for 2 points.
The Rays lost to Gwinnett 4-2 on Friday night but came back home on Saturday and beat Columbia 5-4 in overtime. Marc Busenburg scored the game-winning goal. Goalie Davis Parley had 33 saves on Saturday night and defenseman Nate Kiser scored his first goal in two seasons.
The attendance on Saturday was 10,112 which is the highest paid attendance since 1998 and was the highest is the league this year for Opening Night.

Viktor Dovgan (D) has been placed on the three day Injured Reserve.
The Stingrays are ranked 1st for the league in overtime with their win against Columbia on Saturday.
With five power play goals in the last two games, the Stingrays are ranked 5th in the league.
Marc Busenburg is 2nd in the league for game-winning goals with the overtime shot on Saturday.
Nate Kiser is 2nd in the league for shooting percentage for defensemen with his one goal off one shot.
Jamie Fraser is in the top 20 rookies in scoring with two points.

The Gladiators are back for the first Kid's Day at the Coliseum. Kids, dress up in your Halloween costume and go trick-or-treating around the concourse following the game. Stingrays players will be handing out candy with the Booster Club Association.
