Local Bombers fan wins WDTN slogan contest
October 23, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Dayton Bombers News Release
Dayton, OH- The Dayton Bombers of the ECHL announced today that F.J. Skupnik has been chosen as the winner of the WDTN-TV Channel 2 Dayton Bombers Slogan Contest.
Skupnik, a native of Huber Heights, Ohio, and loyal Bombers fan for the past 11 years,
created the slogan Dayton Bombers... Explosive Family Fun.
"I am thrilled to be the Dayton Bombers slogan winner," said Skupnik. "I suppose I came up with the slogan from the horns that play after every Bombers goal. I think it is cool to hear the bombs exploding and 'counting 'em down.' Also, now that I have a family, I enjoy taking them to the games and we always have a great time."
When asked about WDTN's role in participating in the slogan contest, Jason Doyle, director of creative services, stated: "WDTN-TV 2 On Your Side is committed to taking an active role in our communities. We're honored to be associated with the Dayton Bombers in numerous capacities including the recent season slogan contest. It's great to have an excellent entertainment option such as the Bombers for the residents of the Miami Valley."
Season tickets and advertising opportunities are available! Individual game tickets are on sale now. Opening Night is November 4th vs. Florida. For more information contact the Bombers office at 775-4747 or log on to www.daytonbombers.com. The Dayton Bombers are the proud affiliate to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL and the Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL.
