Victoria Salmon Kings Review
October 23, 2006 - ECHL (ECHL)
Victoria Salmon Kings News Release
The Victoria Salmon Kings began the 2006-07 regular season with a two-game series in Anchorage versus the defending Kelly Cup champion Alaska Aces. The Salmon Kings traveled with a squad of 19 players, two of those players returning from last season's squad-Forward Ryan Wade and Defenseman Steve Lingren. Victoria assigned three Assistant Captains: Veterans Lingren and Wes Goldie, and NHL draft pick Kiel McLeod. Experienced Goaltender Dave Belitski got the start in net for both games.
Despite the Salmon Kings scoring first on both nights (McLeod tallied both goals), the Aces were able to pull away with the victories.
