Catters School Care-A-Van A Huge Hit

Beaumont, TX (October 23, 2006) This week, the Texas Wildcatters first annual school care-a-van hits the road across Southeast Texas. The care-a-van will be visiting students from Brookeland to Sabine Pass with stops in Beaumont, Nederland, Orange and communities across the area.

Wildcatters players will be addressing students in Southeast Texas on the importance of issues that affect them in their youth. The entire team will be stopping by local schools to educate students on the dangers of drugs, good sportsmanship and the rules of hockey. Select Wildcatters players will be at each school.

This is another terrific example of how the Wildcatters will be working together with the Southeast Texas community. Wildcatters players will visit over 75 schools during the 2006-07 season and will be appearing throughout the community all season long.

The Texas Wildcatters are the ECHL affiliate for the AHL's Houston Aeros. The Wildcatters return home to Ford Arena for KFDM Opening Night this Saturday, October 28 against the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 7:05pm.
