
Stingrays Attendance Highest Since 1998

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - When the South Carolina Stingrays took the ice on Saturday, October 21st at the North Charleston Coliseum, 10,112 fans were in attendance to see them skate out. This marks the highest paid attendance for a Stingrays game since November 1998.
10,112 fans saw the Stingrays win in overtime, 10,112 fans saw Marc Busenburg score the game-winning goal, and 10,112 fans celebrated the victory over the Columbia Inferno.
"It was great to see the stands full again of fans having a great time," said Stingrays president, Darren Abbott. "Our staff worked hard and the whole night was a success, including the outcome with an exciting win against Columbia."
The attendance for the 2006 Home Opener was significantly larger than last year. The paid attendance for the 2005 Home Opener was 7,738.
