vs. LONG BEACH ICE DOGS (Friday, 10/27, Saturday 10/28 * both 7:30 p.m. PT)

The Thunder resumes its starting leg of the 2006-07 season with a "home-and-home" style series against the Long Beach Ice Dogs, the first two of eight meetings between the teams during 2006-07. The Thunder opens the home campaign on Saturday after finishing a two-game road trip at Long Beach Arena on Friday, with fans getting a chance to catch the Thunder at home for the first time in the 2006-07 season on Saturday. Stockton is fresh off a 6-1 thumping of Bakersfield in the season opener last Friday, while Long Beach comes off two season-opening losses to Idaho and Bakersfield.

Thunder games can be heard live on the internet (free-of-charge) and are available for viewing at a $6 "pay-per-view" fare at www.stocktonthunder.com, courtesy of B-2 Networks. Thunder broadcaster Mike Benton will provide play-by-play commentary, with the pre-game show beginning 7:15 p.m. on Friday (audio broadcast only) and 7:15 p.m. on Saturday.

Broadcast note: Friday's scheduled Thunder Viewing Party at Valley Brew Family Restaurant has been cancelled due to technical difficulties related to the Long Beach broadcast. The next scheduled Thunder Viewing Party is Tuesday, November 7 (Thunder at Phoenix - 6:11 p.m.).

Thunder goaltender Devan Dubnyk made 48 saves in his professional debut while six different scorers aided a Stockton 6-1 victory over the Bakersfield Condors in the 2006-07 ECHL season opener at Rabobank Arena. Defenseman Tim O'Connell scored three points (1g-2a) with a +4 rating, while forwards Brendon Hodge, Mike Lalonde, and Troy Bodie each tallied a goal and assist. Both teams combined for 104 minutes in penalties in the contest, with the Thunder holding Bakersfield to a 1-for-19 mark on the power play.
