THE WEEK THAT WILL BE:

Tuesday, Oct. 24th Inferno @ SC Stingrays 7:05pm N. Char. Coliseum

This is the second meeting between the Stingrays and Inferno this week. The Inferno are 22-17-4 all time and 0-0-1 this season against their cross-state rivals. The Stingrays are 1-1-0 after opening weekend.

Friday, Oct. 27th Inferno vs. Augusta Lynx 7:05pm Carolina Coliseum

The Inferno's home opener in this final season in the Carolina Coliseum will be against the Augusta Lynx. Columbia is 20-14-6 all time and 1-0-0 against the Lynx this season. This will be the second meeting between the two clubs, as they must meet eight times total this year. Augusta is 1-1-0 on the year.

Saturday, Oct. 28th Inferno @ Gwinnett Gladiators 7:35pm Gwinnett Arena

One day after their home opener, the Inferno head to the Peach State to take on the defending American Conference champion Gwinnett Gladiators. The Inferno hold a 5-13-3 all-time record over the Gladiators. Columbia went 1-8-0 against Gwinnett last season. Gwinnett is 1-1-0 this year, and will play Columbia a total of nine times this season.

Sunday, October 29th Inferno @ Pensacola Ice Pilots 6:05pm Pens. Civic Ctr.

The Inferno will play their third game in as many nights when they travel to the Florida Panhandle to take on the new-look Ice Pilots. Pensacola was one of two teams Columbia had a winning record against last year, as the Inferno held a 4-3-2 advantage last season. Columbia is 6-5-3 all-time against Pensacola, and the Ice Pilots are winless at 0-3-0 on the year. This is the first of 10 meetings this season between the two clubs.

THE WEEK THAT WAS:

Friday, October 20th INFERNO 7 Augusta 3

Columbia opened the season with a win over the Lynx in Augusta. Defenseman Mike Jarmuth had two goals and an assist three points on the night, and he was matched by right wing Jeff Miles, who had a goal and two assists, while late-camp addition Alex Foster tallied three assists for three points as well. The Inferno raged for five goals in the second period, and Rob Gherson shut the door as he stopped 30 of 33 shots to earn his first win of the season.

Saturday, October 21st Inferno 4 SOUTH CAROLINA 5 (OT)

Left wing Anthony Battaglia's two goals, including the game-tying score with 27 seconds left on the third period clock, weren't enough for the Inferno to down their Lowcountry rivals. Stingrays defenseman Marc Busenberg scored the game winner past goalie Todd Ford on the power play less than two minutes into the extra frame.
