Friday, Oct. 20
Augusta 3 vs. Columbia Inferno 7
A five-goal second period propelled the Inferno to the win over the Lynx, who received goals from Ryan Lang, Louis Goulet, and Joe Cardarelli. Augusta Rookie Dirk Southern recorded his first pro point with an assist on Cardarelli's third-period power play goal.
Saturday, Oct. 21
Augusta 6 vs. Gwinnett Gladiators 5
Ryan Lang and Shane Hynes paced the offense with two goals and an assist each while Lynx rookie goaltender David McKee stopped 33 shots for his first professional victory. Louis Goulet and Dirk Southern also notched multiple-point efforts with two assists each.
Lynx Radio Hour
Join Lynx head coach and director of hockey operations Bob Ferguson and radio voice Tom Callahan at Indigo Joe's for the Lynx Radio Hour from 7-8 pm every Monday night. Professional Firsts
Both goaltender David McKee and forward Dirk Southern notched professional "firsts" this weekend. McKee recorded his first pro win with a 33 save performance against the Gwinnett Gladiators in a 6-5 win, while Southern notched his first point as a pro with an assist against Columbia in Friday's 7-3 loss.
Player and Goaltender of the Week Nominations
This week goaltender David McKee and forward Ryan Lang are Augusta's nominations for ECHL player and goaltender of the week honors. McKee posted a 1-0-0 record with a 4.28 GAA and .889 save percentage in two appearances this week, while Lang scored three goals and added two assists in two games with a +3 rating to rank him tied for 5th in ECHL scoring after opening weekend. Winners will be announced by the ECHL on Tuesday.
Bus Trip Space Available!
Anyone interested in catching the bus to North Charleston, SC to watch the Lynx take on the Stingrays should please email Ron Russell at mal2@al-bc.org. Reservations must be made by Thursday, October 26 to insure your spot. Cost is $49 per person and includes game ticket and transportation to and from the contest.
Hit the Links With the Lynx
Monday, October 30 the Augusta Lynx Booster Club will host their annual golf tournament at Gordon Lakes Golf Course. Three person teams are welcome to sign up as are individuals, and teams will be paired with Lynx players for the tournament. Lunch is at noon, with a shotgun start for the tournament at 1 pm. Contact ALBC golf tournament chair Steve Beheler at beheler1@bellsouth.net to register or call (803) 646-1714. Cost is $46 per player which includes lunch, golf, cart, on-course competitions, and prizes.

Single seats may be purchased through the Lynx office at 551 Greene Street by calling (706) 724-4ICE or via all TicketMaster locations and on line at www.TicketMaster.com. Tickets are $18, $15, and $11, with discounts available for students, seniors, and military personnel. Fans may also still purchase full and partial season ticket plans by calling the office and speaking to a Lynx ticket representative.
