The Stingrays have a record of 5-1 against teams from the Pacific Division with all wins coming on the road. Alaska is in fourth place in the Pacific with a record of 32-25-4. The Aces have a road record of 10-13-2. Alaska has a record of 3-7 in their last ten games.
At The Coliseum: Two for Tuesday. Two for one upper level one tickets, two for one hot dogs and cokes and two dollar beers.

Second game of a two game series between the Stingrays and the Aces. Alaska is in the midst of a ten game road trip that will take them to April 2nd.
At The Coliseum: Hall of Fame Night! Two new inductees will join Mark Bavis and Rick Vaive in the Stingrays Hall of Fame. The induction ceremonies will take place in the first intermission. It is also a family fun Friday, 40$ gets four tickets, four hot dogs, four cokes and popcorn.

Roanoke is still fighting for a playoff spot with a record of 29-26-7. The Express has a record of 2-1-1 against the Stingrays this season. Roanoke has a record of 6-3-1 in their last ten games.
The Week That Was:
Tuesday, March 9, 2004, Stingrays 0 Vs Augusta 5
Augusta beat the Stingrays for the third time this season to improve to 3-0-2 against the Rays this season. David Brumby made 22 saves in his third straight loss. The loss represented the Rays second straight shutout at home.
Friday, March 12, 2004 Stingrays 4 @ Florence 7
South Carolina grabbed a 3-2 lead early in the second period on goals by Ed Courtenay and Aaron Power, but Florence scored the game's next four goals to hand the Stingrays their second straight loss. The Rays had two power play goals in the defeat.
Saturday, March 13, 2004 Stingrays 2 Vs Louisiana 5
The Stingrays trailed 4-0 heading into the third period, having gone eight periods without a goal on home ice. Power play goals in the third period by Curtis Huppe and Boris Protsenko made the game interesting. The Stingrays dropped their third straight game and third straight home contest with the loss.
The Team:
The Stingrays are tied for third place in the Southern Division with a record of 34-24-3. The team lost all three games it played this week and now trails the Florida Everblades by three points for second place. The Rays are tied with the Greensboro Generals; however, Greensboro has one more win than South Carolina and holds the tiebreak. South Carolina is 5-5-0 in its last ten games and is now 15-13-1 at home and 19-11-2 on the road. The Stingrays boast the best road power play in the ECHL at 24.8%. The Stingrays are 19-13-2 against teams in the Southern Division and 15-11-1 against the other divisions. The Rays are 4-2 in overtime games, 5-1 in shootout games and 14-3-3 in one goal games overall. When they score first, the Stingrays are 21-7-2. South Carolina has allowed just 2.77 goals against per game this season which ranks 11th in the league. Offensively the team is ranked 22nd averaging 2.85 goals per game. The Rays power play improved to 12th in the league at 19.2% and the team is ranked 20th on the penalty kill at 81.2%
The Players:
Kirk Daubenspeck had a tough week this week, getting pulled twice in two losses. His numbers are still impressive with a record of 27-12-4, a GAA of 2.64 and a save percentage of .919%. Curtis Huppe has 21 goals and 21 assists on the season for 42 points. He has scored 15 of his 21 goals on the road this year. Kevin Spiewak needs one goal to become the third Stingray this season with 20 goals. The University of North Dakota product is ninth among ECHL rookies in scoring with 19 goals and 28 assists. Injuries continue to pile up for the Stingrays. This week, Steve Spencer, Mike Jickling, Trevor Johnson, Jim Lorentz, Matt Desrosiers and Kevin Spiewak missed action due to injury.
