Bombers to cap home stand with three theme events this week

The Dayton Bombers will conclude their stretch of seven straight Nutter Center home games with three theme events this week before venturing to Johnstown for a Sunday matinee against the Chiefs. The Bombers will hope to take advantage of the "Luck of the Irish" by celebrating a St. Patrick's Day Bash on Wednesday, then make the Nutter Center the largest sports bar in Dayton on Friday as part of their second annual Ultimate Sports Bar Night, before revving up their weekend on Saturday with their first-ever Bike Night, featuring Buckminn's Harley Davidson (in Xenia) bike displays and a Harley Davidson leather jacket giveaway. Below is a preview of the Bombers' games slated for this week and weekend:

Wednesday, March 17, 2004 vs. Cincinnati (7:00 p.m.)- The Bombers are hoping that the "Luck of the Irish" will be with everyone in attendance at their festive St. Patrick's Day Bash. The Bombers will have Happy Hour from 6—8 p.m. featuring Bud Light Dollar Drafts. In addition, the first 500 women will receive a green carnation courtesy of Silver Dragonfly Florist of Beavercreek (When they see the Silver Dragonfly, they'll know you sent the best!). The Bombers will be playing the Cincinnati Cyclones for the first time since February 4 when they edged their archrivals 3-2 at the U.S. Bank Arena. The Bombers are 5-3-1 versus Cincinnati and are 2-1 in games played on home ice. The Bombers will also host Cincinnati for their regular season finale on Saturday, April 3.

Friday, March 19, 2004 vs. Wheeling (7:00 p.m.)- The Bombers will once again make the Nutter Center the largest sports bar in Dayton as part of their second annual Ultimate Sports Bar Night. Fans can double their sports viewing pleasure by watching the Bombers' game in addition to the NCAA Tournament on a big screen television on the Nutter Center concourse. The Bombers will be having another Bud Light Dollar Beer Night. In addition, this game will mark one of three remaining Big Mac Power Play Pack Games. For just $25, fans can receive Two Silver Game Tickets, Two Big Macs, and Two Bombers' Hats. The Bombers will be searching for their first win against Wheeling this season. After the game, fans can continue their sports watching with the Bombers' players at Quaker Steak & Lube in Beavercreek.

Saturday, March 20, 2004 vs. Toledo (7:00 p.m.)- The Bombers will be hosting their first-ever Bike Night. Buckminn's Harley Davidson in Xenia will be providing motorcycle displays on the Nutter Center Upper Concourse. In addition, one fan will be the lucky winner of a Harley-Davidson Leather Jacket as part of a promotional giveaway. The Bombers are 5-4-1 versus Toledo this season and are 4-1 in games played on home ice.

Sunday, March 21, 2004 @ Johnstown (2:30 p.m. game time/ 2:15 p.m. broadcast time on www.daytonbombers.com in association with www.broadcastmonsters.com)- The Bombers will conclude their regular season series against the Chiefs with this road tilt. They are 3-4-1 against the Chiefs this season and are 1-2-1 on the road.

3/13/04- Trenton 2 @ BOMBERS 3- Matt Zultek scored two goals in a 32-second, early second period stretch to give Trenton the cushion it would need to win ... Scott Cameron scored a power play goal for the Bombers, while Jake Wiegand also converted with 1:54 remaining in the third period.

3/14/04- Toledo 5 @ BOMBERS 2- After Miguel Delisle put the Bombers in front 2-1 at 3:53 of the second period, the Storm scored four unanswered goals to prevail ... Janne Jokila also connected for the Bombers ... Goalie Andrew Penner stopped 37 shots in the loss ... Proulx recorded a point for the fourth straight game ... Kris Waltze tallied twice for Toledo.
