Cyclones Win Two of Three in Alaska

The Cyclones rediscovered their offense in Alaska last week. Cincinnati thumped the Aces 6-3 on Wednesday night. On Friday, the Clones downed Alaska 3-1. With the win, the Cyclones tied their season high with three consecutive wins. The Aces snapped that win streak with a 4-2 win on Saturday. This week the Cyclones face four games in five nights. The Cyclones journey to Dayton on Wednesday for a showdown with the Bombers. Cincinnati then begins a two-game home stand with a Friday game vs. Toledo. On Saturday, the Clones host the Johnstown Chiefs. The weekend wraps up with a Sunday trip to Toledo.

Wednesday, March 10 Cincinnati 6 at Alaska 3

Cincinnati scored four goals in the first period on their way to tying their season high for goals in a game. Each member of the Evan Cheverie, Phil Lewandowski and Garrett Prosofsky line scored in the first. Richard Naumann also scored a first period goal. Prosofsky would add his second goal of the game with a shorthanded marker in the second period. Josh Harrold capped the Clones scoring on a power-play marker with five seconds left in the game.

Friday, March 12 Cincinnati 3 at Alaska 1

The Cyclones tied a season high with their third consecutive win. Tyler Masters was amazing in the victory as he stopped 36 of 37 Alaska shots including 16 in the third period. Phil Lewandowski scored for the second consecutive game just 59 seconds into the first period. Garrett Prosofsky added a pair of goals with a power-play marker in the second and an empty netter to secure the Cyclones victory.

Saturday, March 13 Cincinnati 2 at Alaska 4

The Aces snapped the Cyclones win streak with a 4-2 win on Saturday. Alaska 's Mark Smith started the scoring with a shorthanded marker at the 5:32 mark of the first. The Clones answered back with two second period markers. Ryan Brindley and Jeremy Bachusz scored just 23 seconds apart in the game's middle frame. The Cyclones held a 2-1 lead entering the third before being buried under an avalanche of three Alaska goals. Bret DeCecco, Wes Dorey and Mark Smith all scored in the final period of the game to give the Aces a win in their last home game.

This Week

Wednesday, March 17 Cincinnati at Dayton

The Cyclones and Bombers meet for the tenth time this season on Wednesday in Dayton. Cincinnati is 4-4-1 on the year vs. the Bombers. The teams haven't meet since Dayton handed the Clones a 3-2 defeat on February 4th at U.S. Bank Arena.

Friday, March 19 Toledo at Cincinnati

The Cyclones and Storm renew their Buckeye State rivalry on Friday in Cincinnati. The Cyclones are 1-2-1 this year vs. Toledo at U.S. Bank Arena.

Saturday, March 20 Johnstown at Cincinnati

The Chiefs make their final visit to U.S. Bank Arena on Friday. The Cyclones have recorded two of their most exciting victories this season vs. the Chiefs in Cincinnati. The Clones beat Arturs Irbe 2-1 in a shootout on November 15th. The Cyclones also recorded a season-high six goals vs. the Chiefs in a 6-2 win on December 10th.

Sunday, March 21 Cincinnati at Toledo

The Cyclones finish their season series with the Storm on Sunday in Toledo. The Clones are 3-1-0 at the Toledo Sports Arena this season.

Clones to Watch

-Friday's Cyclones game features the wedding of two Cyclones fans and an appearance by WWE Superstar Batista.

-On Saturday, the Cyclones welcome Cincinnati quarterback Jon Kitna. Kitna will be a part of Cyclones Faith Night when he talks before the game about the impact of religion on his life.

-The Cyclones will be at the grand opening of Streets of Westchester from Noon-2p.m. on Saturday.
