Florida Everblades News Release

Estero, FL - The Florida Everblades President/GM Craig Brush announced today that the Everblades have acquired defenseman Ryan Brindley from the Cincinnati Cyclones (ECHL) in exchange for rookie forward Gray Shaneberger. The ECHL's trade deadline is Tuesday at 3:00 PM/EST.

The Thunder Bay, Ontario native has seen action in 57 games in Cincinnati and has registered 10 goals and 24 assists for 34 points including 58 penalty minutes so far this season. Last season, Brindley saw action in 62 games with the South Carolina Stingrays (ECHL) and notched 119 points. "It is tough to send a player like Gray, who is a rookie with tremendous potential, to another team but we felt we needed to bolster our blue line and Ryan gives us another solid veteran defenseman for the stretch run of the regular season," stated Florida head coach Gerry Fleming this afternoon.

Shaneberger played in 58 games with Florida and registered 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 points.

The Time is Now! The Everblades take on the Greensboro Generals at TECO Arena on Friday and Saturday, March 19th & 20th at 7:30 PM.
