
Florida remains in second after weekend split

The Florida Everblades picked up a series split this past weekend after they fell to the Greenville Grrrowl 4-1 on Friday night and rebounded to down the Grrrowl 5-4 on Saturday night. Florida ranks second in the ECHL's Southern Division and has 7 games remaining in the regular season. The Blades take on the Greensboro Generals in a key divisional match-up this weekend at TECO Arena. Florida forward Brian McCullough ranks in second place in the ECHL in scoring with 77 points. Everblades regular season games can be heard on Sportsradio 770 AM and on the Internet at www.floridaeverblades.com, www.ABC-7.com and www.NBC-2.com with the "Voice of the Everblades" Dan Guenther calling the play-by-play. The games can be also be heard inside TECO arena on 96.5 FM. 'Blade Talk' presented by Stevie Tomato's Sportspage on Sportsradio 770 AM airs from 6:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday nights. The show will be live on remote at the Fort Myers location tonight with special guest President/GM Craig Brush.
UPCOMING EVENTS/PROMOTIONS AT TECO ARENA: The Blades host the Greensboro Generals on Friday, March 19th and Saturday, March 20th at 7:30 PM. Florida will host the St. Patrick's Day charity jersey auction following Friday's game. The Florida Everblades and TECO Arena will hold a fan forum from 5:30 - 6:30 PM and hand out 2003-04 trading cards prior to the game on Saturday night. Newsboys and Rebecca St. James are in concert at TECO Arena on Sunday, March 21st at 3:00 PM and 7:30 PM. Yanni will play a sold out TECO Arena on Sunday, March 28th at 7:00 PM. Friday, March 19th vs. Greensboro Generals 7:30 PM/EST
GAME NOTES: This will be the second meeting between the two clubs this season. The Everblades are 1-0-0 versus the Generals this year and 2-3-0 all-time. Florida upended the Generals 4-3 in Greensboro back on November 27th. The Generals are ranked tied for 3rd in the Southern division. The Blades will wear special St. Patrick's Day jersey's for the game which will be auctioned off for charity immediately following the game.
Saturday, March 20th vs. Greensboro Generals 7:30 PM/EST
GAME NOTES: This will be the third and final meeting of the regular season between the two clubs. Prior to the game, the Blades will host a fan forum from 5:30 - 6:30 PM and will hand out 2003-04 Everblades trading cards to the first 2,000 fans through the doors.

The Florida Everblades (32-23-10) defeated the Greenville Grrrowl (12-45-5) 5-4 Saturday night in front of 6,523 at TECO arena. On Reggie Berg bobble head night it was Berg that would not disappoint as he provided a hat trick to help lead the Everblades to victory

ECHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades player of the week nomination is forward Reggie Berg. The Estero, FL resident notched 3 goals and was a +3 this past week including a hat trick in the Blades 5-4 win on Saturday night.
ECHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK NOMINATION: The Everblades goaltender of the week nomination is Jeff Maund. The Mississauga, Ontario native went 1-1-0 this past week and registered a 5-4 win on Saturday night.
