March 15, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Greenville Grrrowl News Release
GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL have announced a few exciting promotions for this weekends' games, and that the BI-LO Center will once again play host to the intramural Championships for Bob Jones University.
SATURDAY, MARCH 20, 2004 @ 7:05PM VS COLUMBIA Saturday night's game will feature the distribution of Grrrowl Trading Card sets (sponsored by SportsClub of Greenville) to the first 1,000 fans through the doors. The cards will include 22 players, Coach John Marks, and a team photo card to complete the set. Saturday is also Season Ticket Holder (TOP DOG) appreciation night, which will include a post-game autograph session with the entire Grrrowl team. The Grrrowl Soundstage, presented by Charter Communications and MetroBeat, will feature "The Slight Affirmative Nod".
At 11:00am on Saturday, Bob Jones University will play their annual intramural championship in the BI-LO Center. Immediately after the three games, the facility will do a quick change from basketball to hockey in time for the nights' Grrrowl game.
SUNDAY, MARCH 21, 2004 @ 3:05PM VS ALASKA Sunday afternoon's game will see the Grrrowl play one of the ECHL's newest teams, the Alaska Aces. Alaska was a part of the West Coast Hockey League that merged with the East Coast Hockey League over the summer, to form the new ECHL. Alaska is coached by former Grrrowl forward and assistant coach Davis Payne, who is in his first year as head coach with Alaska. As always, Sunday is Kids' Day, featuring a public skate following the game. All kids' 12 and under can sit anywhere in the BI-LO Center for just $5. Also, the Family Four-pack is available and includes 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, and 4 Pepsi's for just $40.
The Grrrowl host two games at the BI-LO Center this week, beginning with Saturday night against Columbia, and a Sunday afternoon game (3:05pm) with the Alaska Aces. 2004-05 Greenville Grrrowl TOP DOG ticket renewals, and single-game tickets for the remainder of the 2003-04 season are on sale now.
