Grrrowl host second annual hockey camp

GREENVILLE, SC - The Greenville Grrrowl have announced the Second Annual GRRROWL HOCKEY CAMP, to take place at the BI-LO Center July 24-28th. Youth and adult players will participate in the camp, which will be run by Greenville Head Coach JOHN MARKS and General Manager RYAN STEWART along with some Grrrowl players making special guest appearances.
"We're very excited to bring the camp back this summer," said Greenville General Manager Ryan Stewart. "We hope to offer all these players the complete Grrrowl experience. We want them to feel like pros for a week and teach them the many aspects of this terrific sport."
Last summer's inaugural camp showcased 57 rising hockey stars, almost equally split between house-league and travel team players and the Grrrowl is expecting an even larger turnout this summer with the addition of the adult sessions in the evening.
"Last year's Grrrowl Camp created an atmosphere for learning, skill development and enthusiasm," said Jeff Hilla, father of two boys who attended camp last summer. "My boys received both group and individualized instruction from the professional Grrrowl staff. We are fortunate here in Greenville to have a professional hockey program that is willing to share their training with the next generation of hockey players."
This year the players will have the same opportunity to dress in the official Grrrowl locker rooms, sit on the Grrrowl player benches, and climb over the boards onto the 200 x 85-foot BI-LO Center ice-surface. The Grrrowl Hockey Camp will be the largest hockey camp ever held in Greenville.
The camp will be split into three groups of players: youth house-league, youth travel-league, and adult players. The house-league players will skate from 9 a.m. till 12 p.m., while the travel-league players will hit the ice from 2-5 p.m. The adult camp will follow in the evening from 7-8:30 pm.
