IceGators Trade for Matt Dzieduszycki

Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana IceGators announced today they have traded future considerations to the Augusta Lynx for Matt Dzieduszycki. Dzieduszycki is currently with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League. The 5-11 center from Mississauga, Ontario has split the season with San Antonio and the Augusta Lynx of the ECHL.

         Dzieduszycki, a high-powered defensive forward, spent last season with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL and the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL. The 23 year old also played two seasons at the University of New Hampshire.

         "Matt is an elite player at the ECHL level and will give us much needed depth as we prepare for a playoff run," said IceGators Head Coach Dave Farrish. "He is a very passionate hockey player who our fans will come to love quickly."

         The IceGators will welcome the Columbus Cottonmouths on March 17 at 7:05 p.m. The St. Patrick's Day game will feature a costume contest and $2 green beer. Wear green and get $2 off game tickets at the Cajundome box office.
