Boise, ID - Wranglers' forward Aki Seitsonen registered one goal and one assist as the visitors sent the Steelheads to their second straight defeat, winning 3-1 in front of 4,457 fans at Qwest Arena on Friday night.

For the first time this season the Steelheads (11-5-1-1) have lost two straight, while their one goal scored is a season-low. The Wranglers (11-1-2-5) are currently on a seven-game winning streak and they still remain unbeaten in regulation away from home (9-0-1-4).

The Steelheads managed the game's first goal on a power play marker by Lance Galbraith at 5:43 of the first period. Galbraith took a Tuomas Mikkonen feed and skated the puck from the goal line along the right wing boards to the side of the net, where he lifted a shot short-side past Wranglers' goaltender Mike McKenna (43 saves). Defenseman Kory Scoran got the other assist. That power play goal meant the Steelheads have scored at least one power play goal in all nine home games in 2006-2007.

With only 36 seconds left in the first period, the Wranglers tied the game at one on an even-strength goal by winger Marco Peluso. Seitsonen threw the puck from the side of the net into the crease, where Peluso swept the puck past a sliding Steve Silverthorn (23 saves).

After 20 minutes of play, the shots were 21-4 in favor of the Steelheads, while at one point halfway through the first period; they were out-shooting the Wranglers 15-1.

At 1:09 of the second period, Seitsonen netted his seventh of the year, as he smacked a bouncing puck from the side of the net over Silverthorn to give the Wranglers their first lead. Tyler Mosienko and Shawn Limpright assisted on the play, which turned out to be the game-winning goal.

Limpright iced the game with 1:27 left in regulation, scoring an empty net goal, his sixth tally of the campaign. Steve Crampton and McKenna got the assists.

The final shots favored the Steelheads 44-26. Their 44 shots are the most the Steelheads have fired in a game this season, and the most the Wranglers have allowed in a single outing. The Steelheads finished one-for-six with the power play, while the Wranglers were held in check in their two power play opportunities, which is the least advantages the Steelheads have allowed in a game this season.

The Steelheads wrap up their three-game series against the Las Vegas Wranglers on Saturday, December 2. The puck drops at 7:10 p.m. MST. Steelheads' single-game tickets can be purchased via www.idahosteelheads.com (using the all-new, print-at-home feature), by calling 331-TIXS or from the Qwest Arena box office.
