Cyclones Trade Boreelli and Day To Fresno

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL, announced Friday (Dec. 1) that they have traded forward Dave Borrelli and defenseman Riley Day to Fresno in exchange for considerations.

Borrelli, 25, played in six games for the Cyclones. He scored one goal during his stint in Cincinnati. Borrelli was acquired on Nov. 6 from the Reading Royals and appeared in five games for the team from Pennsylvania. He is in his rookie season after leading the NCAA in points per game a year ago.

Day, 21, is also in his first professional season. He appeared in twelve games with the Cyclones and collected two assists in Cincinnati. The native of Brandon, Manitoba spent four seasons playing in the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he was with the Brandon Wheat Kings a year ago.

The Cyclones currently have 20 players on their roster and are next in action tomorrow (Dec. 1), when the Wheeling Nailers come to town for a 7:30pm tilt at U.S. Bank Arena. It is Reality TV Stars night, with approximately 20 persons from half a dozen shows represented.
