South Carolina Stingrays News Release

N. Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays announced today that center Matt Reid has been activated off the 7-day injured reserve list, and that left winger Jarrett Konkle has been placed on the 30-day IR.

Reid, 28, returns to action after missing the last ten games with the Stingrays. He was injured early in November in a game at Gwinnett. Prior to his injury, the Massena, NY native had 14 points (7g, 7a) in nine games. Despite missing most of last month, Reid is still fifth on the team with points.

Konkle, 23, is placed on the 30-day IR after sustaining an injury earlier this week. The Milton, Ontario native has tallied eight points (4g, 4a) in 18 games with the Stingrays this year. Last season, in his first professional season, Konkle led the Elmira Jackals with 37 goals in 74 games and finished the year with 62 points.

In a separate transaction, center Kyle Wilson has been loaned to the Hershey Bears, the AHL affiliate of the Stingrays.

Wilson, 21, has played five games with the Rays after being signed by the team on Nov. 18th. In those five games, the London, Ontario native has scored three goals and added two assists for five points. This is Wilson's first year of professional hockey. He played with the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL earlier this season registering one point off one goal in seven games.
